We know that the linking of mobile number to Aadhaar number is mandatory now as per Government regulation, to avoid discontinuation of services. The department of telecommunication has already declared 6th February 2018 as the last date to complete the linking process. So the telecom operators are sending SMS and email notifications to users, asking them to complete the Aadhaar-mobile linking process within the deadline.
Types of Aadhaar-Mobile Linking
The government offers 3 methods to complete the linking process including verification via OTP (one time password), agent assisted authentication and IVRS facility. Using these methods users can complete the process sitting at home. Individuals can also chose to visit the mobile stores to register their bio-metrics and complete the linking process.
How to Link Jio Number With Aadhaar
OTP process is very simple method to link Jio number to Aadhaar, but there is no any process to avail this facility till now. But after December 1st this facility will be available for all network user. But before that the Jio has started to provide OTP based Aadhar linking facility to its users. For this you have to download “MyJio” app. Click on MyJio app where you will get the option to link your all Jio numbers which you have registered in your name. A list will be shown to you of all the numbers which you purchase earlier.
Now you have to select the number, which you want to link with Aadhaar number. A OTP will be send on that number,which you want to verify. Then enter the correct OTP and you will get a confirmation message on that number. You can link your JioFi and JioFiber also.
